To some extent this area may be considered an optional FAQ section, though I am sure visitors will be asking the same questions as I did.

I do not discuss diets, regimes or products of any description. I have no interest in such matters beyond what is immediately necessary for my own purposes. Losing weight was necessary in support of my interests and was never an interest as a subject in itself (it is now).

There are no 'weird tricks' or short-cuts that will enable anyone to maintain an excessive intake of kcal and lose weight. That is a head-in-the-sand perspective. That said, once a weight-loss goal is reached, people will realise it is not as bad as they may have feared. They will discover it is liberating.

What to eat is an entirely separate subject which I am not qualified to comment on. Stick with reputable sources you can fully verify yourself. The NHS is a guaranteed qualified, reputable and impartial source, with no fee attached. The NHS has a vested interest in keeping us all healthy. Less work for them in the long run.

This section introduces other factors which may influence the route to weight loss and ongoing maintenance of weight. Although definitely mundane, the information may be of interest.

The ideas may or may not be useful to others. They may however motivate other people to develop their own ideas, which would be even better. Those people can then hopefully pass on their ideas.
